Mary-Ann McMartin, our founder and President was first introduced to this awesome cloth diaper in 1990 when her second child was one year old. Starting out as an Authorized Sales Consultant (and running her own cloth diaper service), she worked her way up and was appointed to the position of Regional Manager in 1994. Eventually, in 1999, Mary-Ann became the National Sales Manager and was responsible for supervising, recruiting, and training the home-based Authorized Consultant Sales Force. These quality pieces of handcrafted furniture are made of polyethylene. The high density polyethylene raw material utilized in poly lumber is derived from post-consumer plastic bottle waste, such as milk containers.

The material is cleaned in a decontamination process that to a purity level over 99% HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). It is then compounded into rigid board stock material; the resulting finished product containing over 90% recycled post consumer waste by weight.

Any shavings and/or cut offs created during the making of a piece of furniture, are sent back to our factory to be re-used, so nothing is wasted.
